I think it influenced me because I kind of walked into the program, wanted to be more on like the medical side, and pursuing a pre-med field. And going through the program kind of realized how much more I wanted to work with technology and robotics in my career, going into college. And so now I'm thinking more of like a combination of like engineering with pre-med, rather than just one.

Build something together.

Anran LiuHarvard · Molecular & Cellular Biology

Yeah, I mean I think just overall coming up with the solution was really challenging, obviously, but it was just so much fun to just work together and to try and figure it out together and come up with ideas that kind of incorporated what everyone was thinking. Like we implemented a cryotherapy drug into our robot, which I just thought was incredible.

Build something that matters.

Saisha ShuklaBrown · Engineering & Cognitive Science

I was diagnosed when I was six and in the beginning I was taking insulin shots and not really too much like automated things and then when I switched to automated pumps and sensors, I feel like my life got a lot easier. That's what sparked my interest and I want to create that for other people.

Learn what makes a team.

Chloe ChenStanford · Symbolic Systems

something that I learned from Moonshot definitely is that in the industry, not only do you have to be good at the tangible stuff, but the people is really what make companies thrive, what makes departments thrive, what makes different like group environments thrive. You could have like the greatest idea on the planet and it is the best idea and it's going to take us to Mars, but you can't find the right people to do it and if you can't figure out how to create a great team environment so people can like do whatever their strengths are, then you're kind of at a stuck position in a lost cause.
